Zaki Travels with Egypt to Congo DR

Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki is in the Egypt team that faces Congo Democratic Republic in the 2010 World Cup qualifier in a top of the table clash

Congo DR sit above Egypt on goal difference and this is a game that the Pharaohs cant afford to lose if they are to enforce their pedigree has Africas number one footballing nation.

Zaki will link up with Middlesbrough player Mido for the international squad and both are on fire for their clubs at the moment with 7 goals between them, Mido almost became a Latics player last week when a deal was offered to Boro for the player but Boro turned it down, much to Mido`s disgust.

Egypt finish the group stage off with a game against Djibouti on 12th October 2008 in Cairo
