Latics Reserves Unlucky at City

Manchester City Reserves 3:2 Latics Reserves

Wigan Athletic reserves lost their opening reserve league fixture but were very unlucky to do so after twice taking the lead with goals from young Polish star Tomasz Cwyka`

There were quite a few youngsters in the side including a very familiar name to Latics fans, Langley, not Kevin but his son.

Reserve team boss Keith Bertschin was delighted with the performance if not the result and said:

'Considering five of them are still getting used to playing at Youth Team level I thought they did really well and were just a bit unlucky at the end. But it'll be a great learning curve for them.'

Latics Reserves:

Postlethwaite; Field (Breeze 75), Langley, Buxton, Mustoe; Hampson, Kirkbride, Routledge, Holt; Cwyka, Kupisz
Subs Not Used: Gracey, Prince, Barrie, Crane
