Koumas Now Has Good Attitude

Wigan Athletic midfield man Jason Koumas has a much improved attitude according to his international boss Wales coach John Toshack.

Koumas is back at the JJB after pulling out of the Wales trip to Russia due to an ankle injury that is forcing him to miss Wednesdays world cup qualifier in Moscow.

In the past Wales boss John Toshack has questioned Koumas` commitment to the Welsh cause, especially on the away trips, but with the Wrexham born player scoring 9 goals in his last 13 appearances for Wales, Toshack had this to say about him:

'Jason's goals record against lesser teams is outstanding. He has won us games on his own.

'His attitude is much better with us over the last 12 months. I have seen an improvement.'

Koumas himself was wary of aggravating an ankle injury and didn`t want to be sidelined for weeks, at the weekend he had to have pain killers injected into his ankle so that he could play, Koumas told reporters:

'I needed three different injections beforehand.

'I can't have another three injections in my ankle again like I did this week as that would put me back weeks.'

What i don't get. The Wales coach knew he wearn't fully fit but still chose him 'He's not fully fit, but i just like the lad' I have no objections with plays playing for there national teams, ut why play him when he knew he weren't fully fit. He was at a risk of getting another injury
