Latics Speyk to Spurs

In the run up to the Latics game at White Hart Lane on Sunday Vital Wigan grabbed a quick chat with one of our friends, Paxton 53, from Vital Spurs, lets see how the chat went:

Hi Paxton 53, I hope you are well this fine Saturday morning.

Yep feeling good and looking forward to the game tomorrow

Can I ask, why the 53 at the end of your user name, age, birth year or something else?

No it`s the block number I sit in on the Paxton Road stand.

How long you been a Spurs fan and what got you hooked?

I started going to Spurs in the late seventies with my father. Watching such players like Hoddle, Perryman and Ardiles was always the draw.

Bottom of the table early doors, how worried are you?

To be honest, yes I am! Nevertheless, it is still early days.

Is Ramos the man to carry the club forward to the next level?

Not on what I have seen so far. Like many fellow fans, I do not see any fight or tactics. However, there are a few fans that still think he will eventually come good. I certainly hope so.

White Hart Lane is an aging stadium would you consider a move to a new venue and would you ever consider ground sharing at the Emirates with your neighbours Arsenal?

I personally would prefer to stay at WHL and re-develop the ground. I do believe that if we will re-develop WHL then we will be sharing with either West Ham or Arsenal.

With the Latics in town on Sunday you will no doubt be fancying your chances of a victory, if you did a scout report for us who would you tell Steve Bruce be fearful of in the Spurs side and is there an area of your team that we could possibly exploit?

I can not honestly put my finger on it and say these are our stars. Steve Bruce should tell his team to get stuck into us as we seem to have very little fight at the moment.

Do you think that the Latics will always be strugglers in the Premier League or do you think that smaller clubs can still challenge at the top?

I would love a smaller club to challenge the top 4 but I think it is very unlikely.
However, I do not see Wigan being in a relegation battle this season.

If you were to recommend one of our players to Senor Ramos as a transfer target who would it be and why?

Heskey, we really need firepower at the moment.

Finally can you give us your prediction for the game.

I have to go 2-1 to Spurs in a very tight game.

Thanks for the chat Paxton 53 good luck for the rest of your season, after tomorrow of course
