One thing's for sure, this is going to be a very interesting game and a good battle.
Although Ipswich are good at home, Latics will be up for this game having just gained a good point at Tottenham Hotspur.
Also, its father v son and I expect the father to triumph tonight.
Ipswich are a good side at home and to underestimate them would not be a good idea as their home record as said is top notch. Also, they'll be hungry to knock out any EPL team from the cup as it'll boost their confidence and give them a real sense of satisfaction.
Steve Bruce has promised to field a strong side tonight so I think in the end, the stoic defensive partnerships and the attacking mind of the Latics, particularly if Zaki plays a part, may undo Ipswich.
MATCH PREDICTION
===============
Ipswich 1 Wigan 2
Wigan are not too clever away from home too often but their decent form of late will give them much confidence and with their defence and attack living up to expectations, Ipswich might find it difficult to break down the Latics side tonight considering the team Bruce might put out.
CLOSING COMMENTS
===============
I hope its a really good game and although its not a matter of life nor death for the Wigan faithful, I think it'll be a good game and hopefully a great atmosphere from both sets of fans.
Wigan after this will face Manchester City and that's going to be tough but as long as the defence can handle Robinho, Jo and Shaun Wright Phillips, they'll have a good chance to take something from that game.
As for Ipswich, they'll be hoping they may be able to make a play off spot and they certainly have the squad to do it and if they win tonight, they'll be able to move on and play with real confidence for their forthcoming fixtures but that aside, I expect Ipswich to do well this season and a play off spot is not out of the question.
