'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wigan Athletic - Another Player Leaves

Latics have surprisingly allowed young defender Lewis Montrose to go out on loan to Division One side Cheltenham Town.

Surprisingly not because Montrose is fantastically talented but because we are very short on numbers, so much so that on Sunday at Spurs Steve Bruce had to name two goalkeepers on the bench.

Montrose isn`t complaining though and it gives him the opportunity to get some first team action under his belt, he told Latics official site:

'I'm hoping to be in contention for the first team and to gain some vital experience'

'Martin Allen is a good manager and I'm hoping I can get some playing time under my belt.'

Good luck Lewis

Not likely to feature at the JJB so this could do him some good, leaves us a bit thin on the ground though

Bruce will sort this worbo first chance he gets. In Jan, he'll sort problem areas out.

You often need two keepers in the bench, once every 25 years it does happen you know
