Half Time at Portman Road Ipswich 0-0 Latics

Titus Bramble captained Latics on his first return to Portman Road since he left in 2002

A first half of little chances for the Latics saw them go in at half time lucky to be still in the game following a host of chances for the home side, one in particular that was cleared off the line though the home supporters claimed it was over the line

Latics came closest when Heskey had an effort on 38 minutes that was turned round the post by Ipswich keeper Richard Wright
Hopefully the second half will bring the Latics more into the game

In stoppage time at the end of the half Zaki hit the bar from a free kick 20 yards out

Ipswich
Wright, Volz, Bruce, McAuley, Thatcher, Norris, Campo, Miller, Quinn, Walters, Lisbie

Latics
Kirkland, Boyce, Bramble, Scharner, Kilbane, Valencia, Cattermole, Palacios, Kapo, Heskey, Zaki
