Wigan Athletic - Mido Talks About Zaki

Middlesbrough player Mido talked about his relationship and rivalry with Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki ahead of the game at the JJB today.

Mido was being interviewed for Egyptian TV 24 Hours of Sport and he was asked how he felt about Zaki being the top scorer in England at the moment, he said:

'I am very pleased for Zaki, he is performing well and scoring, its not true that there is any jealousy just a keen rivalry between us because we play for different clubs`

Mido also went on to say that he was always pleased when Egyptian players were successful in foreign leagues and that Zaki is making him very happy at the moment and he wished that Zaki will continue his performance in the Premier League and win the title of the top scorer because any success for Zaki or for himself is considered a success for all Egyptian players, he said:

'Zaki is the only player in the premier league that will make me happy if he scores goals more than me`

Mido told the interviewer that he had a great relation with Zaki off the pitch and they always meet up and he is there to offer any help for Zaki about the language or living in England

Talking about the game with the Latics Mido said:

'The game is very important for us because we have lost our last 3 games so we'll play to win the game and all though I hope that Zaki scores in all his games but not the one against Boro`

Amr Zaki - will he score today?
