Kirkland misses out again

Chris Kirkland has praised his back four for their defensive qualities this season with Wigan, having one of the lowest goals against in the Premier League so far this season.

Once again yesterday in under the watching eye of England manager Fabio Capello Wigan's back four performed admirably, leaving Kirkland with only one good save to make other than piucking the ball out of the net in the last minute, a goal for which he was blameless.

Mr Capello has decided to stick with James who recently conceeded six and Green who conceeded three today along with Carson leaving Kirkland once again to wait in the wings.

Maybe Chris will ask his defence to be more porous next time Fabio pays us a visit so he will get the chance to impress.

Never mind Chris you are England's number one to us.

Kirkland is the best England goalkeeper currently playing in the Premier League and he should be the England number 1 never mind in the squad

Just seen Green's blunders, the Boro result wasn't the only time Kirkland was robbed this weekend.

Shame that Chris didn't get a call up - he's been superb, and it's not his fault that the defence performs so well these days that he hardly gets the opportunity to show what he can do.
