Heskey secures England call up

Emile Heskey may have finished on the losing side yesterday, under the watchful eye of England manager Fabio Capello but the Italian has kept faith with the Wigan forward, after his excellent display in Croatia last month.

Heskey, who has scored 5 goals in 48 internationals for England, made his debut for his country in 1999 in a one all draw away to Hungary.

His last goal for England, was against South Africa in 2003 and he has won five caps whilst as a player at Wigan Athletic.

There is no place in the squad however for WIgan old boy Jimmy Bullard.

Emile is a top striker and his record needs to be shouted because the Press will not let it be heard. England are stronger for him. To be honest I would love for Man City to buy him but he seems happy with you. Good on him!
