Taylor needs to play

Taylor who has been at Wigan for three years now and is the second longest serving player at the club,(Pollitt having signed the month before)having joined the club in July 2005 from Tranmere.

Ryan's tenure at Wigan has been plagued by some terrible imjuries most notably a broken leg sustained in a reserve game at Newcastle , in a game which ironically was his first outing since fracturing a metatarsal.

Ryan whose contract is up next season has spoken of his desire to be playing either to secure a new contract with the Latics or to put himself in the shop window for other clubs to see.

In the summer he was very closely linked to Crystal Palace and Birmingham City with strong rumours that the latter had agreed a deal subject to fitness.

With Taylor being able to leave on a free next summer and the likes of Boyce and Melchiot ahead of him in the right back role, Steve Bruce may be tempted to cash in on the 24 year old Liverpudlian in the January transfer window

He's right he does, he's a good 1 when fit and he's injured

Melchiot's no spring chicken and I personally rate Taylor very highly. Given a good run of first team games he could be top class... but I wouldn't want to turf Melchiot out of the squad just yet and I can't see Ryan being open to the idea of a loan so goodness only knows what'll become of him.

Taylor is a quality player i rate him extremly high. He's got a right foot on him like Beckham. With regards to Melchiot he is a worldclass player, but in a team you need competition. Between both of them to start it would personally be a extremly hard dececion
