Zaki Out Injured

Zaki Out Injured

Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki is out of Egypts World Cup Qualifying game against Djibouti with a 1.5cm tear in his calf muscle.

Medical staff connected to the Egypt national team say that Zaki will be out for up to 10 days and is therefore doubtful for Latics game at Liverpool next Saturday

Zaki didn`t train in the week leading up to the Middlesbrough game and was replaced before the end of the match suggesting that he has carried this injury for a while.

Zaki was asked if he felt that he would be fit to Liverpool and he answered that although doubtful he was still hopeful that his muscle would heal in time
