Scharner Suffers a Faroe Embarrassment

Wigan Athletic defender Paul Scharner played 90 minutes yesterday as Austria just managed to scrape a draw in their World Cup 2010 group 7 qualifiers away to the Faroe Islands

Scharner, who has been critical of Latics boss Steve Bruce this past week, was hardly inspiring as the Austrians fell behind on 47 minutes to a Bogi LOKIN goal, though Martin STRANZL equalised two minutes later it was the Faroes who were the more likely winners

Scharner and his Austrian mates now face group leaders Serbia on Wednesday and if they don`t buck their ideas up for this one Scharner may once again spit his international dummy out and say Auf Wiedersehen to representing his country on the world stage

I wonder what Scharner had to ssay about this one?
worbo
I like the guy but he obviously thinks he's bigger than the club so maybe he should go!?!
Jolstar
Scharner is a character there is no doubting that, sometimes though he does go a bit too far
worbo
Does the Faroe Island keeper still wear his benny from Crossorads wooly hat?
