Money Bags City in for Zaki?

It is being reported that Zamalek are about to open negotiations with Manchester City over the possibility of snatching the worlds number one striker Amr Zaki from Wigan Athletic.

In a statement that appears on the FilGoal.com web site it suggests that a delegation from Zamalek will travel to either Manchester or Abu Dhabi to start transfer talks, the statement reads:

"A Zamalek delegation will fly to either Manchester or Abu Dhabi, not determined yet, to hold talks with City representatives over Zaki"

Whether there is any truth in this remains to be seen and dealing with Zamalek last summer was a tricky affair to say the least for Steve Bruce the Latics boss.

Amr Zaki has settled very well in to Wigan the town and the team and the fans have taken him to heart, it appears that the player is loving his experience with the Latics and he may not want to go 17 miles up the East Lancs Road to Manchester City, lets hope he stays where is friends are.

If you guys think Zaki is what City need... really there are other fish to catch and battles to fight! Zaki is a good player, but he will probably burn out in the next few games. And he is too old to interest Man City.
Sindbad
25 is too old? Are you serious?
RussianHammer
He's certainly started off brilliantly for you guys, and it would be interesting to see if we do bid for him. Love the line "world's number one striker" by the way!!

I'de certainly have him at City........but will you let him go.....
lincolnblue
He is happy at Wigan and we want him no doubt about that, heard that he will sign in December but the Zamalek chairman doesnt half get up to some shinanegens and I think this City link is one of them
worbo
City attack is pretty potent corrently. Zaki is a great player so far and a good addition to any squad. I think city main concern will be strengthening the defense.
ArabianKnight
Hypothetical question - would you rather he went to City or Chelsea?
merlin
