Latics Chief Executive Flies Out to Tie Up Zaki

Wigan Athletic Chief Executive Officer Brenda Spencer is set to fly out to Cairo to start transfer negotiations in an attempt to get Amr Zaki signed permanently at the JJB.

A statement from Zamalek over the weekend suggested that there was interest from Manchester City with regards to signing Zaki, but that just might be their way of 'bumping` up the fee from what was an original £6.5 million which was quoted back in June, oh how the Latics must wish they had taken the plunge then.

Zaki has been nothing short of sensational in his time with the Latics and the whole of the football world is now taking notice of just how good he is, which could spell trouble for Wigan with Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United now 'reportedly` tracking his progress

Lets hope that Brenda works her charm and we can get the deal done without too much trouble, after all we are a Premier League club

Amr Zaki, loan deal to become permanent?

Come on Brenda we need this, he can fire us into Europe on his own. But how much will they want now and will we pay it. I might be jumping out of my skin but this guy is World Class down to the bone

it has been mentioned that zamalek will ask for double the 6.5 previously quoted, around £13 million, thats alot of money but bigger teams are fishing and able to pay lets hope that mancity doesnt come with a crazy offer of £50 million

Let's face it - given who's gone for 18m recently, he's got to be worth 20m of anyone's money. I just hope Uncle Dave feels the same...

Dont want to be optimistic guys, but why Zamalek or even Zaki decides his destination of next season that early???...we're not even close to Jan. Good luck anyway!
