Palacios and Figueroa are Happy Latics

Wigan Athletic and Honduras international players Wilson Palacios and Maynor Figueroa are both happy playing at the Latics and looking forward to staying for the foreseeable future.

Wilson Palacios has been in stunning form since he joined the Latics in January this year for £1 million from Honduran club Deportivo Olimpia, he had spent 4 months on loan at Birmingham City but they discarded him and what was Brums loss was Latics gain has he attracts the attention of a host of admirers, Palacios told Sky Sports News:

'I am working hard and at the moment I am thinking only of Wigan'

Palacios` team mate Maynor Figueroa is at the moment on loan at the Latics but he has been an ever present this season in the left back berth and Steve Bruce has the option to make the deal permanent in January a move that excites Figueroa, he told SSN:

'I will do my best to show to Wigan and perhaps other clubs that I am worthy of the Premier League and who knows what the future will bring'
