'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Heskey 100% Committed to the Latics

Wigan Athletic and England forward Emile Heskey says he has not decided on his long term future yet but he is 100% committed to the Latics cause and is very happy to be at the club.

Heskey is attracting interest from the Premier League`s big boys, Aston Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool all reportedly keen on the target man but he will stay focused on the task and give his all for the team, the club and the fans, he told reporters:

'Everyone knows my contract is up at the end of the season but I have not made up my mind what happens then, that is the truth.

'Who knows? Whether we sit down before the end of the season or at the end to discuss my future, I don't know...we'll see. What I will say is that this is a very progressive club.

'The chairman is very ambitious and he knows football and footballers, which is very helpful.

'He knows progress has to be steady and what he has achieved at this club is magnificent. I am really happy here and the club has been good for me, that I know.

'But I really don't want to think too much ahead. I know there are loads of stories going around at the moment but the point is I'm a Wigan player and my duty is to give 100% to the manager, to the team and the supporters. To do anything else would be disrespectful to the club.'

Nice one Emile

Can still see him going in January though

It looks as if he's just waiting for the better offers to come in. And there will be offers for Ivanhoe in January. He might not score that many himself but he adds something to all the other forwards in a team.
