Wigan Athletic - 4 Days in the South

The Wigan Athletic squad travelled by train to London this morning ahead of the Fulham match, and are staying in the south after tonight's game to prepare for the visit to Portsmouth on Saturday.

Latics boss Steve Bruce has looked at the logistics behind coming back up North tonight and then heading back South again on Friday and decided it just isn`t worth it, he told reporters:

'If we came back tonight we wouldn't be home until 4am, then we'd have to give them tomorrow off before setting off to Portsmouth on Friday.'

Makes sense and will possibly save from tiredness on Saturday, a little mini-break
