What the Bosses Said Fulham Vs Latics

Last nights game between Fulham and Wigan Athletic saw a very poor Latics performance against a very poor Fulham side and both managers had a thing or two to say about their players performance:

Latics boss Steve Bruce:

'The performance against Fulham was arguably the worst since I've been here, I can't really take many positives out of it.

'There have been times this season when things haven't gone our way, we've not got the points which our performances have warranted.

'But that wasn't the case last night, we had too many individuals playing poorly - that hasn't happened to us this season until now. If I'm being honest, we could have conceded more than two."

'Both goals were poor ones to concede that is not acceptable at this level.

'Just over two weeks ago we were playing Liverpool and gave them one hell of a game, only just losing it right at the end.

'Unfortunately, we have got our backsides kicked in the last two games, that's something we need to put right quickly.'

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson:

'Johnson and Zamora were a constant threat to the Wigan defence, that is what we hoped they would be and what we hope they will continue to be.

'I am happy to have 11 points after nine games.

'We remain modest here at Fulham. We know it is going to be a hard season.

'But certainly 11 points sounds a lot better than eight from eight.

'It was an important win.'

"very poor" Fulham side? Perhaps not as poor as you think after all huh? Agree with you Worbo...that's the attitude that gets you "learned and burned"!
