Bruce Looking For 3 Points in the North East

Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce faces the unenviable task of trying to lift his side in time for Saturdays trip to the North East to face Newcastle United following the embarrassment of Tuesday nights debacle against Arsenals youth team

The game at St. James` Park gives the Latics a chance to get some confidence back in the side as they face a very poor Newcastle side with the match a real 6 pointer affair.

Bruce told reporters:

'We got our backsides kicked by a very good, young, talented Arsenal side.

'We now have to dust ourselves and have a go again. Newcastle is a very big game for us and we need the points.'

We need the points is a bit of an understatement

I don't think Bruce is worth the 3m we paid for him, what has he done?? we're just above the relegation area and we have been knocked out of the cup. he keeps saying every time we go into a game that he will do anything for us to win and we never do. he says "this is our turn", i'm sorry steve but you have enough chances and you never take them. you're just making excuses and saying the players don't pertform, i agree tyhey haven't been at their best but can't you see there's a trend. YOU'RE NOT DOING ENOUGH!! my prediction for the game... 4-1 to newcastle Danny O
