Wigan Athletic - Killer Praise for Cattermole

Wigan Athletic left sided player Kevin Kilbane was full of praise for stand-in skipper and Latics midfield man Lee Cattermole following the 2-2 draw at Newcastle, the Republic of Ireland international told the clubs official web site that Cattermole is a natural leader, he said:

'He's only 20 years old and since he's joined the club he's been a leader. I think over the next couple of years we'll get the best from him and I think we've got him at the right time.'

Kilbane went on to say how well the lads had done to get the draw but he still felt disappointed not to have collected all 3 points having led from the 3rd till the 80th minute, he continued:

'They've scored two really good goals and Martins looked to have won the game for them but credit to us for getting back into it. Titus stepped up and he's got us a deserved draw.

'We've come up here today without four or five regulars and managed to grind out a good result.'

'We're unbeaten in the last three Premier League games now and we need to take the positives from that'

'It's disappointing we couldn't hang on for the three points because it would have shot us right up the table and into the middle of the pack. But it's very tight and still early days really.'
