Wilson and Maynor Party

Wigan Athletic players Wilson Palacios and Maynor Figueroa partied with the rest of Honduras as they beat Mexico and qualified for the final stage of the concacaf eliminators for the 2010 World Cup

Palacios and Figueroa played pivotal roles in the game that saw Honduras not only run out 1-0 winners on the night but they also won their group by 2 points from Mexico who also qualified by virtue of having a better goal difference than Jamaica.

Honduras are joined in the final stage by Mexico, USA, Trinidad & Tobago, El Salvador and Costa Rico from where three sides will qualify directly for South Africa 2010 and the fourth-placed team will take on the fifth-placed finisher in South American qualifying for a place at the world finals.
