Wigan Athletic - Melchiot Going?

Wigan Athletic skipper Mario Melchiot has officially got a knee injury that kept him out of action for the Newcastle game, though that wasn`t the first time he`d missed this season, he`s been 'ill` and had various little knocks as he has missed games

Contrary to these illnesses and injuries word coming out of the JJB is that there has been an almighty bust-up between the manager and his captain.

There is indeed history between the pair, whilst at Birmingham City there were reports of 'fallings out` between Bruce and Melchiot and when Bruce arrived at the JJB to take over the reigns following Chris Hutchings dismissal there was much made of the Melchiot affair and how it would effect his running of the club, a public showing of unity fooled no one in reality

Vital Latics understand that the former Chelsea man has once again had an almighty set to with the manager and he has been told that he will never wear the club colours again, true or not who knows but the team for tomorrow will be a good indicator

With Boyce suspended we are at bare bones in the back four and if Taylor takes the right back spot you can read into that what you like but it is believed that Melchiot is fit and was fit for last weeks Newcastle game
