Kirkland Wins Man of the Match Vote

Kirkland Wins Man of the Match Vote

Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Chris Kirkland won the Man of the Match poll on Vital Latics following his superb display against West Brom at the JJB yesterday.

Kirkie pulled off a string of fine saves that had his manager crowing and undoubtedly led to the Latics securing the 3 points from the game.

The big shot stopper was humble personified when interviewed on TV and said that he was just doing his job and that it was the team that deserved credit for the win.

For the record the top three were:

1 Chris Kirkland - 82%
2 Henri Camara - 5%
3 Titus Bramble - 3%

The new poll is available for you to vote in and it is on the right side of this page, todays question - What do you think of the Latics cup draw?

Well done Kirkie....what a poor draw in the cup, I wanted a bit of romance and a non-league side, we seem to get drawn against teams from the same division as us continually

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
