Wigan to cash in on Heskey?

Emile Heskey's contract is up in the summer and he would be allowed to leave on a free transfer.

Talks regarding a new contract have so far failed to reach an agreement and both sides appear to have accepted that an agreement will not be forthcoming.

Heskey is beleived to have several suitors including Villa,Liverpool, Spurs and Man City.

With Steve Bruce having been told he needs to sell before he can buy to strengthen his painfully small squad, selling Heskey for three to four million would seem a good bit of business providing Bruce has a replacement ready and waiting.

I think we should cash in on Heskey as he is obviously looking for a move. I don't blame him as it will probably behis last chance to get a decent contract, but I don't like the idea that he can run his contract down and then look for a large siging fee as well as good wages. The more important question is why does Bruce have to seel before he can buy. Look at the ins and outs last summer, 5 in and 10 out. The saving on the wage bill alone should be 3 to 4 million so why do we need to seel from a squad that is small anyway. Once again the question is where did all the money go?

The club is funded personally by Mr Whelan. How much he chooses to spened or not spend is down to him. At the last count our debt was said to be 54 million pounds

We will help fund your club, by taking Heskey, and maybe Valencia off your hands : ). I do have a soft spot for Wigan though. Your score is the score I look up next right after Villa. Cheers!
