Wigan Athletic - Melchiot to go Home?

Wigan Athletic defender and former Ajax and Chelsea man Mario Melchiot could be on his way back home to Holland in the January transfer window according to reports.

The 32 year old international has just returned to the Latics first team following an alleged behind the scenes bust up with manager Steve Bruce and word is that the player will be allowed to leave in January

The Latics skipper has many attributes and this has alerted Hollands top clubs who will clamour for his signature come January 1st and word in his home country is that one club is close to an agreement with the Netherlands international full back

Sorry to say but I think his legs have gone and he's going backwards.

I'll gladly drive him to the airport and pay for his flight!

He's ok, but too slow for the attacking full back role he tends to play. Gavin Hoyte on loan to replace him me thinks?
