Howard Webb Ref`s Latics Vs Blackburn


Yorkshireman Howard Webb will referee the Lancashire derby between Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers at the JJB this weekend

Rotherham born Webb stands at 6` 3" and the South Yorkshire police sergeant wont take any messing around on the pitch.

This season Webb has issued four red cards, each one was a second bookable offence and to date he hasn`t shown a straight red.

Webb has refereed Latics once this season, the 2-0 defeat at Fulham back in October booking both Cattermole and Kilbane and he has refereed Blackburn on two occasions a 0-0 draw at the Reebok against Bolton booking 3 Rovers players and he also refereed the 1-0 defeat to Spurs at White Hart Lane booking three and sending off Olsson for a second bookable.

Lets hope he has a quiet day tomorrow
