Palacios Hands Over to Figueroa

Palacios Hands Over to Figueroa

With Wigan Athletic midfield dynamo Wilson Palacios suspended for tomorrows game against Blackburn that leaves just Maynor Figueroa as the only man to have started all Latics Premier League games this season.

The two Honduran international players are great chums and Figueroa is set to make his loan deal a permanent one on the 1st January when the Latics will invoke the clause that gives the club the first choice to the left backs signature.

Figueroa has made 16 starts in the league this season compared to just one last season when he started the last game against Manchester United at the JJB

Palacios has been a permanent fixture in the Latics side since his arrival last January only missing games through suspension and unfortunately that puts paid to him earning his appearance bonus for tomorrows game following his booking at the Emirates last week taking his seasons total to 5 and activating the automatic 1 match ban

Palacios will be missed but it is an excellent achievement for Maynor Figueroa to become the only Latics player to start all this seasons games, well done Figgy

Arhhhh no wonder he has looked like needing a rest of late. Having 2 weeks off will help no doubt - great talent and can only see him improving as time goes on
