Heskey for Football Personality of the Year

Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey has been nominated for the Daily Mail Morgan award for Football Personality of the Year

Now those who know me will verify that I am no fan of the Daily Mail and most of the tosh that appears in that paper isn`t worth wrapping fish and chips in but I must say that I agree with the article written by Piers Morgan that todays good guys in football are swallowed up by all the rubbish that gets printed about the bad guys

So with that in mind Morgan and the Mail are running a Football Personality of the year award and low and behold our Emile has been nominated along with another old Latics favourite Jimmy Bullard

Morgan gives a citation for each of the nominees and they are all merited but I thought it would be nice and recognition for the big man if it was highlighted that Heskey is in the running

The full list of nominees are:

Emile Heskey - Wigan Athletic
Ryan Giggs - Manchester United
David James - Portsmouth
Theo Walcott - Arsenal
Steven Gerrard - Liverpool
Jimmy Bullard - Fulham
Ian Ashbee - Hull City
Michael Owen - Newcastle United
Paul Scholes - Manchester United
John Terry - Chelsea
