Europes Top Goal Machine Linked to the Latics

Europes Top Goal Machine Linked to the Latics

Wigan Athletic are being linked with a move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Marc Janko along with Blackburn, Spurs and Middlesbrough.

The 6` 5" Austrian has a sensational goal scoring record of 45 in just 58 games for Red Bull and he has also knocked in 3 goals in 7 appearances for Austria, so far this season he has scored an incredible 30 goals in just 20 games.

In one particular game Janco came on as a 2nd half substitute and scored 4 as Red Bull ran out 4-3 winners against SCR Altach, the 25 year old is the talk of European football at the moment.

Latics would have to pay somewhere around £8 million for the prolific marksman who has said that he wants a move to the Premier League as soon as possible.

Herr Scharner may be brought in to do a little persuading on this one.

Would be a great signing but £8 mil maybe a bit too much for Herr Whelan to pay
