Wigan Athletic - Boyce and Palacios Set for Return

Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce has received an early Christmas present with Emerson Boyce being declared fit for the Newcastle game on Boxing Day following a torn hamstring and Boyce is now pushing for a recall to the side

Also returning for selection is midfield star Wilson Palacios having served a one match ban for accumulating 5 bookings the Honduran missed the win over Blackburn last week and may struggle to get back in the starting 11 with his replacement Michael Brown having an outstanding match

The problem of having a virtual full strength squad is a nice problem for any manager and Bruce will be pleased that he has got this particular selection headache

Can see Boyce being on the bench and Palacios coming in for the unlucky Brown
