Latics Reaction - Kinnear Talks Out of Backside

Latics Reaction - Kinnear Talking Out of his Backside

Leading up to the game between Wigan Athletic and Newcastle United Joe Kinnear was in the press saying how his team were simply going to turn up at the JJB and take the 3 points back up the North East, didn`t quite happen that way and what is foul mouthed Joes reaction, he spits his dummy out and throws a strop.

Now to manage a club the size of Newcastle takes a certain decorum, could you imagine Sir Bobby Robson ranting and raving in front of TV cameras about how it wasn`t his fault, the opponents had the nerve to tackle his players etc, no, neither can I, Joe Kinnear is starting to bring Newcastle United into disrepute at best he is making them a laughing stock.

Following yesterdays game Kinnear claimed that his side were the best in the game and deserved to win, he claimed Latics didn`t create anything, that referee Mike Dean gave us the game and that Newcastle should have had a penalty in the dying moments of the game, he also claimed that Lee Cattermole had deliberately set out to hurt Habib Beye.

Joe, Newcastle had a spell in the first 10 minutes and the last 5 minutes of the game and that was it, once Valencia got the measure of N`Zogbia he ripped him apart and wave of attack kept coming down the Latics right and we should have had at least another 3 goals from this but poor finishing let us down.

The claim that referee Mike Dean had given the game to us is a total nonsense. In the first half Wilson Palacios fouled Mark Viduka three times in the space of seconds has the Newcastle forward tried to make his way through the Latics midfield, Dean played the advantage until the run broke down, he then awarded Newcastle a free-kick and booked Palacios.

A precedent was set, so when Heskey broke forward and Bassong fouled him he allowed advantage, then Bassong fouled Heskey again, again Dean allowed advantage has Heskey was bearing down on goal, Heskey ran in to the box and Bassong PULLED Heskeys arm unbalancing him and causing him to lose momentum foul number three, Dean used the precedent that he had set in the first half, awarded Latics the penalty and sent off Bassong with him being the last man and denying Heskey a goal scoring opportunity.

As the game wore on Newcastle players started to throw themselves to the ground, on two occasions this happened when there was no one within two yards of them, granted Zaki rolled around at one point late in the game and I don`t condone this, but that was the only occasion of note that a Latics player went down like they had been shot yet how many times did Duff alone crash to the floor?

The Newcastle penalty was rather dubious to say the least, Carroll out jumped Kirkland and headed the ball goalwards, Kirklands momentum carried him forward and he caught (just) Carroll in the face with the palm of his hand has he had tried to clear the ball, penalty? I think Mr Kinnear would have been very upset had his side conceded that.

The claim that Carroll was then 'chopped` down by Brownie in the dying moments is a complete joke, once again a Newcastle player went down without being touched, yes Kinnear I have watched the replay also, Brown was a good foot off Carroll, and suddenly the world is conspiring against them, this is a certifiable medical condition Joe that is treated with electric therapy, you need to be careful what you say in front of the cameras.

The worst part of all his rantings though was the accusation that Lee Cattermole had deliberately set out to 'do` Habib Beye and Kinnear actually waited till the end of the game to have a go at Catts.

Kinnear managed what was regarded has the dirtiest team ever to play in the top division, Wimbledon, who set out to frighten opponents by going over the top, also his current squad aren`t totally blameless when it comes to a crunching challenge, Nicky Butt on more than one occasion 'flew in` yesterday and two footed challenges were seen to go unpunished even though the ball wasn`t won.

Kinnear is known to be a foul mouthed horrible little man and the pressures of managing in the top flight look too much for this barmpot and he is starting to bring not only Newcastle but football in to disrepute by his inane ramblings and tear stained rantings.

He reminds me of a little girl I used to know who would stamp her feet and scream obscenities when she didn`t get her own way, time to pack it in Joe, you are an idiot talking from your rear end

The score could have been 3, 4 or even 5-1 yesterday with some better finishing on our part, I wonder what he would have had to say then?

we stuffed the barcodes on their own midden and he still claimed they dominated us making no mention of us being down to ten men. he is one of those managers who cannot see any wrong in his own team. This is why Bruce, Brown and Hughes are refreshing, if their team is poor they say so
