Heskey For Spurs Return After 'Tight` Hamstring

Heskey For Spurs Return After 'Tight` Hamstring

Wigan Athletic and England centre forward Emile Heskey should be ready to return from his hamstring injury in time to face Spurs in the Premier League game at the JJB on Sunday 11th January.

A scan has revealed that Heskeys hamstring isn`t torn and it appears that it was just a bit 'tight` and the quick decision to take him off against Bolton 32 minutes in to the game seems to have saved any serious damage.

Heskey will miss Friday nights FA Cup game at White Hart Lane and hopefully he will still be at the club to enable him to take his place in the league game the following week.

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
