DeRidder Set For Start

DeRidder Set For Start

Wigan Athletic wide man Daniel DeRidder is set to start in tonights FA Cup 3rd Round tie against Spurs at White Hart Lane following Steve Bruces admission that he will give some fringe players a run out

DeRidder hasn`t really set the club on fire since his summer arrival from Bruces former employers Birmingham City on a free transfer but he is undoubtedly talented and this was evident the last time the Latics were in North London for a cup game when the Dutchman weaved through the Arsenal defence at the Emirates Stadium leaving 6 Arsenal players in his wake

DeRidder can turn it on when he wants

In my opinion DeRidder is a little too light weight for the English game and he gets knocked off the ball far too easily, he doesn`t seem to have the fight in him, tonight could well be his last chance to show that he does.
