Bruce Steps up Hunt


Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is reportedly set to trigger a clause in Reading player Stephen Hunts contract that allows the Republic of Ireland international to leave the Madjeski Stadium if a Premier League club offer 5 million for him.

With Kevin Kilbane looking likely to leave the Latics there is a vacancy for a wide left sided player and Hunt appears to fit the bill with his aggressive determined style of play that would surely had even more bite to the Latics midfield

Although Reading don`t want to lose Hunt it looks like the dreaded clause will once again come into play.

Do managers have people reading every single players contracts to find out about these clauses or what......I would have thought contracts were private things.....
