McMillan Out For The Season

Wigan Athletic left-back Stephen McMillan has had an operation on his knee and will miss the rest of the season.

This is his second operation in four months.

McMillan has only made 4 starts in the Carling Cup and 1 in the FA Cup and 2 Premiership appearances as a substitute this season.

I would just like to congratulate Wigan and Paul Jewell on a phenomonal season. Admittedly I was one of the many that predicted Wigan for the drop, to reach the Carling Cup final and be in the top half of the premiership is a massive achievement for you. I wish you all the best, it is a shame there cannot be mroe fairytale clubs like you that make football the honest and passionate sport that it once was
