Antonio Valencia - Madrid Bid Official

Wigan Athletic player Antonio Valencia is the subject of an official bid from Real Madrid according to El Comercio a newspaper in Valencia`s home country, Ecuador.

The bid reportedly comprises of £12 million plus Argentina international forward Javier Saviola, this would be a tempting proposition for Bruce to consider and could see some serious discussions in the JJB boardroom

Oh oh here we go, this could be the deal that Whelan tells Bruce to accept

Well lets be reasonable.. If we have to lose him (which I am not a fan of), then better send him of to Madrid, and get Saviola in exchange, rather than lose him to another PL team, so he can terrorise us the next couple of seasons.. I think Saviola, Rodallega and Zaki, if we can keep him, would prove to be a handful for the majority of the PL defences.. This might not be a bad deal after all.. Valencia will definetly move on in the summer..

I'm resigned to losing him at the end of the season, I think we are stupid letting him go now. We will get 15-20mil at the end of the season so why not wait Whelan?
Sprayzen
12 mil is a lot of money and Saviola is top class. Valencia is our best player but lets face it, we are not going to keep him forever. I do not think that we will miss him that much, we can finaly put Taylor on the right and I'm sure he will do better then Valencia. We still have Koumas who never plays good for us, but that is because he never gets the right side.
