'If It's Football, It's Vital'
Latics Willing to Sell Palacios
Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has revealed that he is willing to break up the best Latics side ever if the money is right.
It has been confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur have offered £10 million for Honduran Wilson Palacios but Whelan wants more, he told reporters:
"Not enough money'
'They can either come back or forget it.
'£10million for that lad is not enough money.
'We've told them basically what we're looking for and we sit and wait and see what they do.
'It would be unfair to say what we're talking to Tottenham Hotspur about, it's private business, but we're asking for more than that obviously.'
Fantastic, I could understand if it was a top club chasing honours but to sell to a team struggling at the foot of the table, come on, and if Wilson goes then the flood gates will open and the squad will be decimated, if you want the fans to come Dave keep the stars.

shouldnt be surprised, Whelan unhappy with the gates, probably thinks he has taken us as far as he can so is seeking to recoup some of the dosh he has shelled out. If Palacios goes it will open the floodgates.

sounds like the lad will be a spurs player soon....negotiations ongoing all day....if harry wants him, levy will pay the money....how highly do u rate him???.....to be honest id never heard of him prior to the wigan game, is your chairmans value of him justified or is it because he knows spurs are flush with cash?

well from what your chairman has come out and said today, i would guess he will be leaving you soon, once we up our opening bid....i understand how frustrating it must be for you lot, your playing some great football with some top players, unfortunately this happens to us all...we rob you, and man u rob us!....i dont know what financial condition your club is in but money talks.

After being discovered by Wenger, I have some sentimentality to Palacios, so he better not go to spurs, particuarly as I have a lot of respect for Wigan. I know I'm taking a bit too much pride in the matter but you know...
