Palacios Bid Accepted

Wigan Athletic have accepted a £14 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur for midfield man Wilson Palacios who is now agreeing personal terms with the North London club according to The Sun.

Palacios joined the Latics a year ago from Honduran club Deportivo Olimpia and has been nothing short of a revelation since making his debut against Derby County and his talents have been admired by home and opposition fans alike.

If the report is true and Palacios does leave for £14 million then Spurs have got themselves a bargain, the 24 year old Honduran has the potential to develop into one of the best midfield players in the world

Hope this isnt true
worbo
who's opinion that he has the potential to dev into one of the worlds best midfield players ? !

I'll believe this when either club makes confirmation. Palacios will be a great addition at Spurs, but I've always liked Wigan, so I'd hate for this to effect them too badly which I fear it will. You have to agree though this deal would represent a great profit for Wigan (or is it just the North London clubs who care about that sort of thing). I truly hope that Brucey can bring in some more talent with the money he gets. After Spurs, Wigan are the team I'd most hate to see go down.

Great signing for the Spurs if we get him though! COYS

bad news...hope the money will be smartly used to bring another raw jewel in the squad..come on bruce, u r good at that!...as for spurs..they must realise they r not short of good players..they must have other problems!!...it was a big mistake to give away martin jol..

I just hope we can get a replacement in before the end of the window. Michael Brown is a good combative midfielder, though, so at least we have backup for now. However I would like to see someone matching Wilson's talents in before the window is out.

God I hope this is true. I'm thrilled to bits we finally have a manager who won't stand for Jenas' hot and cold moments. It's no good playing out your skin against Mnure and l'arse and then looking like a headless chicken the rest of the season! Palacios is looking like a very decent player from what I've seen so far.

He is quality, could play for any club in the world. Gutted to see him go to spurs.
ArsenalRob
He may not yet but I really hope Bruce gets a replacement.

like i said before our club will not going to stand on one of playerwigan still strong as ateamwork we stil have alotof credit at midfield
ahmedhossam
Can anyone confirm he isn't as bad as his Actim stats? They don't equal the money. Not looking for a row, chaps, simply asking....
weststandvoice
If you do get him you will be getting an all action midfield player of true quality, ne warned though he wont score goals couldnt hit cows backside with a banjo
worbo
How about you take Zokora in part exchange? He couldn't hit a cows backside with a chello.....
CoxintheBox
CoxintheBox, we are talking about Wilson Palacios and not Zokora. I am sure Zokora has achieved more than everyone in your family combined! Lets see you hit a hit a a Bendy bus first or see you play for your local pub side first. Easier to slag than achieve...LMHO
