Whelan to replace Palacios

Speaking to the local newspapers ,Mr Whelan re-iterated that he would replace any players who left.

Former latics favourite Jimmy Bullard, is continually being linked with a return to the JJB, which would prove a big hit with the WIgan fans.

Mr Whelan once again expressed his concerns regarding the JJB crowds ,a statement in the current finacial climate which is certain to draw more critisism from the football loving Wigan public.

Take a look around the town, Wigan is a small town in financial meltdown, 14k home fans in the current financial climate should be applauded not critisised

YES.. It would be fantastic if we could get Jimmy back.. He has always been one of my favorites.. And he scores more than Palacios..

How and WHY did you sell Palacios?? I know the money was good but isnt league position more important??

14m is a lot of money for Wigan. And it was in the players interests, Bruce wasn't going to deny him the opportunity to play for a 'bigger' club and earn a lot more money.

The Palacios deal was pretty good for us, u cant moan at 13mill profit in twelve months, especially if we get JB too. Only prob might be that hes gettin on a bit (30/31?) and he wont have the energy he's famed for for too much longer
