Mido Signs On!

Unsettled Middlesbrough striker Mido has signed for the Latics for the rest of the season on loan and with the imminent departure of Emile Heskey, this seems like a shrewd bit of business by Steve Bruce.

I think Mido personally is a good addition to the squad and although the player has issues, he is a good player and teaming up with Zaki might just prove to be an inspired front line.

With Rodallega set to sign as well, all of a sudden, it seems as if the problems with the front line are a thing of the past but if Mido turns out to be Emile's replacement, I for one am a happy man.

A good signing I think. He'll get goals, I've no doubt of that.

Aren't you guys worried that both of your main strikers are on loan, and one of them (namely Zaki) is unlikely to stay beyond this season? On the other hand, you've got the Palacios and Heskey money...

Hesk has joined villa officially, very good business for latics cashing on him and experimenting a potential long time replacement

From a Fulham fan i just want to say that i feel bad for you guys like us, everytime you get a settled squad some dick like Harry Redknapp comes and steals ur players ! Us weve lost Saha,Van Der Sar, Sean Davis, Stephen Davis, Steve Finnan, Boa Morte, Malbranque and the list goes on. I just think its crap this January transfer window i hope Valencia stays for you i really do!

You wont be happy for long .....we were even more happier than you when he first came to boro and scored 2 goals in his first 2 matches for us ,than he *****ed all of us and had an operation on his ass or some kind of organ ,we will see what he can do for you ........

Yeah but hopefully we'll get Rodallega and we still have Camara, too. I think Mido will do OK.
robin
Is Rodallega that player that you got from mexico oh well not every player can play in the EPL you know.

If Mido plays down his ego and plays for the team, he will succeed both on the team level and on the personal level and will be admired by all Wigan fans for his strong personality if it is channelled the right way. He is definately a strong and talented striker and I beleive his partnership with Zaki could be phenomenal if they help each other rather than compete . They also have a humungous advantage which is the language barrier, they can communicate freely and openly in Arabic with their marksmen having no idea what they are saying. Also Mido has a talent for free kicks, so there's always a backup when Taylor is not on or not firing I wish Mido luck in Wigan, and as Bruce said, he should have 'the best days of his career ahead of him', these are the years of professional football maturity. I look forward for seeing Zaki and Mido against liverpool, that shld be intersting.
