Steve Bruce - Why I Let Camara Go

Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce has told why he allowed Senegal international Henri Camara to join Premier League rivals Stoke City on loan

Bruce said he sympathised with Camara and knew he wanted to be playing rather than sitting on the bench especially with little Henri being out of contract in the summer and at 31 years of age he needs to put himself in the shop window for a deal somewhere, Bruce told reporters:

'I know Henri was a big crowd favourite here, and he's done very well for me this season. But he wanted to play regularly and was getting frustrated with what was happening here.

'He didn't want to be on the bench. I totally understood his position so we allowed him to go to Stoke.'
