A Look At An Opponent - Simon Davies

This is a new feature on Vital Wigan, we will take an opposing player from the upcoming game and have a quick look at their strengths and weaknesses and what to expect.

This week its Fulhams Wales international midfield man Simon Davies who was born in the Army town of Haverfordwest in South Wales in October 1979.

Davies started his career at Peterborough, moved to Spurs in 2000 and spent 5 years there before coming up to the North West to join Everton for 4 million in 2005, after 45 appearances for the Toffees Davies moved back to London and signed for Fulham for an undisclosed fee in January 2007

During his two years with the Cottagers Davies has made 78 appearances scoring 8 goals.

Davies has been an ever present for Fulham in the Premier League this season playing in all 22 league games and scoring his only goal so far against former team Spurs in Fulhams 2-1 win.

Davies was Fulhams Player of the Year last season and he won the title by a landslide, he is a whole hearted player and Latics midfield can expect a tough test on Saturday from the likeable Welshman who isn`t afraid to get stuck in.

Simon Davies wears number 25 on his shirt.

he's hard working , but not much productivity , still i respect fulham as a dedicated side that give a 100 percent despite their lack of flair and creativity .
