Tug of War to Develop Over Mido?


Wigan Athletic may have some competition if they want to make the Mido loan deal permanent in the summer, where from, from Middlesbrough where else?

Boro boss Gareth Southgate insists that the prospect of Mido leaving the Riverside to join the Latics in a permanent move this summer is not a done deal, he claims that he allowed Mido to come to the JJB to 'prove himself` and states that his contract runs till 2011

Mido himself has already stated that he wants the move made permanent but Southgate seems to think differently, here is what the Boro boss said on the matter:

"There`s nothing agreed at this stage"

"All parties have felt a change for everybody would be good and it`s for both the players (Marlon King moved in the opposite direction, under a similar deal) to prove to the two clubs that they`ve got something to add.

"We know his talent. I just felt for him, a different challenge would get more out of him. But Mido`s still our player, and we have to wait and see what the summer holds."

lol king is useless just like i said before we signed him. its our tactical genis southgate though! seriously though mido when his fit and wants to play is unstoppable lads so best of luck with him. i dont see why we would try and keep him if he wants to go we should let him. can we have zaki in return lol?

So if mido gets 10 goals for wigan then they can’t have him but if he bags only 2-4 they can have him for half the price hum. Personally will like to see mido excel in wigan instead of as a number 3 or 4 at a bigger club. At only 25 if he will develop more and stay fit then he will score a lot of goals. Anyway if Wigan makes it to Europe then they should all stay.
