Wigan Athletic Vs Fulham was not the worst game so far this season at the JJB according to the pollsters on Vital Wigan, no that honour went to the game with Stoke City back on the 8th November, which was also a 0-0
The Fulham game was very dull but in fairness there were chances, looking back to the Stoke game it was reminiscent of watching paint dry, not what you would call an entertaining afternoon.
For the record the voting was:
Worst game at the JJB so far this season?
Latics Vs Stoke - 59%
Latics Vs Fulham - 28%
Latics Vs WBA - 13%
The new poll is available on the right side of this page and its asking the question would Europe be good or bad for the Latics?
With talk about some senior officials at the club not wanting European qualification at the end of the current campaign because they believe that it would be financially disastrous, here at Vital Latics we thought it would be an idea to find out what the fans think.
Are we ready or are we not ready for a European assault? Does it matter, were Nottingham Forrest thinking of the financial implications when they won the league and qualified for the European cup back in the late 1970`s, was it so different back then?
Fingers point to Blackburn and Bolton as to what can happen if you qualify for Europe, to be honest I don`t know what that`s supposed to mean, they are both still Premier League clubs, Aston Villa have gone from strength to strength following their European adventures and its not done Everton a disadvantage
Some times you need to speculate to accumulate and in my humble opinion European qualification would be a fantastic achievement for our club, we would suddenly be among Europes elite and as a supporter I would be much happier having my team show some ambition to be successful rather than just survive.
