Mike Pollitt Says Latics up for Boro Clash

Wigan Athletic 2nd choice goalkeeper Mike Pollitt believes the Latics can go to Middlesbrough on Saturday and give the home side some real problems and come away with 3 points.

Latics and Boro both have a striker missing, Mido and Marlon King, due to the fact that players on loan cannot play against clubs that they have been loaned from.

One player definitely starting for the Latics will be Middlesbrough lad Lee Cattermole and Pollitt says that Catt is really looking forward to this one, Pollitt told reporters:

'Boro are fighting for their lives, and if we can get an early goal, we could give them real problems.

'Mido can't play, King neither, so we both start a striker down.

'We need the three points too as we want to maintain our good position in the league and also push on.

'The week after we're away at Chelsea, and anything we get there will be seen as a bonus.

'So we could really do with something against Boro.

'We've got Lee Cattermole going back to his old club, and I'm sure he's looking to that one.

'I don't know what kind of reception he's expecting, but he certainly did well there.'
