Latics Have Eliseu Back in Sights

Wigan Athletic have renewed their interest in Malaga and Portugal midfield player Pereira Eliseu according to several media outlets and reportedly the Latics sent scouts to Malaga's clash with Valencia at the weekend

With the prospect of losing Antonio Valencia in the summer almost guaranteed Latics boss Steve Bruce is desperate not to waste any time in bringing in the Ecuadorians replacement.

The 25 year old Portuguese wide player has been catching the eye of several Premiership clubs this season with his lightning quick attacking play and, according to Spanish newspaper Marca, the talks with Latics were at an advanced stage before the January transfer window shut.

It now appears that Eliseu could have been identified has a target to bring in this summer, he is entering his last year of his contract at Malaga and he is refusing to renegotiate with the La Liga outfit keeping his options well and truly open.
