Wigan Athletic today confirmed that South Korea international midfielder Won Hee Cho is currently having trials with the club and it is understood that he is close to earning a contract with the Latics.
The 25 year old midfield player is a free agent following his contract running out at Korean club Suwon Samsung Bluewings and he has recently been on trial with French club AS Monaco
Won Hee Cho can play as an attacking left back or on the left side of midfield, he has 27 caps for his country but didn`t feature in the 2006 World Cup finals, Latics boss Steve Bruce though has been impressed and told reporters:
'Won Hee has come and trained with us for the past couple of days and has done really well, we have been really impressed with him as a player and a person and can sign him as he is not under contract with any club.'
