Zaki Aims to be the Best

Zaki Aims to be the Best

Wigan Athletic and Egypt striker Amr Zaki was back home last week for the Egypt Vs Ghana friendly in Cairo and whilst he was there the Egyptian superstar was interviewed by Al-Hayat TV

Zaki was asked how has his meteoric rise to fame in the UK affected him and has it put any pressure upon him, Zaki said:

'Thankfully, I'm used to being considered a popular player from my time at Zamalek and the Egyptian national side.

'For me being a star only increases the responsibility I have towards both my club and my country.'

Zaki was then asked about his ambitions and where he sees himself in the future, very diplomatically he replied with that he wants to achieve whatever his abilities will allow him and he will dream beyond that, he continued:

'Any player should have the highest possible ambition even if this ambition is beyond the player's abilities'

'That is the case for me because this is the only way to reach my full potential.'

Amr Zaki, what a player he has been for us this season
