Wigan Athletic - Return of the Sibs

Wigan Athletic attacking midfield player Antoine Sibierski was a surprise inclusion to the squad that took on Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday and the likeable Frenchman made an appearance as a 75th minute substitute for Amr Zaki

Sibierski made his last Latics appearance in the first game of the season at West Ham when he came on as an 84 minute substitute for Lee Cattermole, he was in the squad for the Chelsea game the following week but didn`t feature and subsequently he went on loan to Norwich City where he played 15 games scoring 2 goals for the Championship club.

Sibierski returned to the JJB when his loan period finished in mid-January and he has been working hard since in training and staying focussed on trying to get a place back in the Latics squad.

Sibierski says he never lost any belief and kept working hard in training hoping to show Steve Bruce that he was worth his place, Sibierski to Wigan World:

'Even if I weren`t in the squad in the last few games I still work hard`

'You have to keep working everyday believing that you can get back in the squad`

'Even if you are experienced like I am you still have to show the manager that you have the capabilities and desire to be in the squad`

Nice one Sibs, keeping fit is Sibs biggest problem, if he manages that it`ll be like having a new signing at the club

the latics realy need to improve their attaking abilities, they of cource miss antonio and palacious, and so the strikers get no support from the midfield, because they all are defencive midfielders, I think they needed koumas yesterday.

yep it was crying out for JK to come onto the right wing but you will have to ask SB why he didn't bring him on. We can only guess
